TADORNA: Scheveningen

Log of S/V TEVAI: Night Dive on the Wreck of the Veronica
The sun had set when we did backwards rolls into the water and followed the line down to the wreck of the M/V Veronica. It was already dark, and at first all we could see were fleeting flashes of dim light from the underwater flashlights of other divers.

Christian Allaire's Sailing Life: You've Heard of St. Croix? Well it's the Island to the Left.
Within the sailing community the movie Capn Ron really is the best film every put out by Hollywood. Capn Ron is a true God. In fact when I was at Blue Water Charts and Books in Fort Lauderdale in December they pulled up the sale's data on the movie. Turns Captn Ron out sells just about all there products.

Life is sailing and Little Else: More socialising.....
We have had another few days here, waiting for the weather window, during which Les and David took us to Quimper, where we saw some of the Fete de Cornouaille, lots of pipe bands, dancing and stalls selling all sorts of goodies. The day ended with a barbecue at a friend's house in Quimper. What a social whirl there is in Brittany!

ssstarlight: avoiding the log jams
We successfully avoided the floating log debris on the above mentionned foothills manmade lake this pm. Since the lake is primarily used for jetskiing, wake boarding behind outboard motor boats, we were questionning the safety for these watersports enthusiasts. In fishing kayaks, they don't present much of a hazard, as you usually have time to react to them. We saw several sailboats today, the Katrilu for one. We tried to reach the western end of the reservoir, but got a bit winded and turned back to the marina end of the lake. It's amazing the wave action on the lake, when there wasn't much boat action. I prefer this location to the Glenmore Reservoir, because you get a little excited with the small 1 foot waves once in a while, and then an outboard roars by and good gracious, you might get 2 foot waves. It's a great sight for kayakers, especially during the workweek.

Wyntersea: Niagara Falls
As we head back west we take a break in Toronto. One can hardly say that they have been in Toronto without a glimpse of Niagara Falls so it was here we stood in the pissing rain. The endless rush of water roared as it plummeted 188 feet onto the craggy rocks below. This is surely a sight to behold.
